Does the Monster Sound come with a controller for my CD-ROM ?
There is no CD-ROM interface on the Monster Sound card

Does the Diamond Monster Sound have bass & treble controls ?
No

Can I use another wavetable card with the Diamond Monster Sound ?
Yes as long as it uses a standard 26 pin connector

Will my old sound card work with the Diamond Monster Sound ?
Yes any sound card will work with the Diamond Monster Sound cards

Are Diamond Monster Sound drivers available for BeOS, Linux, OS/2, Windows 3.x, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 or Windows XP ?
No the Diamond Monster Sound was only supported under Windows 95 and 98

Are Diamond Monster Sound drivers available for Windows 98 or Windows ME ?
The current Diamond Monster Sound drivers support Windows 98 and should work in Windows ME too.

Does the Diamond Monster Sound support DOS ?
No but Sound Blaster sound and General Midi emulation is available in a DOS box under Windows 9x.
OPL 2/3 music is not supported and joysticks using the Diamond Monster Sound will not work in DOS games.

Will the Diamond Monster Sound support EAX ?
No

Why doesn't my Diamond Monster Sound MX200 have gold plates ?
Some of the first few Diamond Monster Sound MX200 cards don't have gold plates due to a supply problem

Do the Diamond Monster Sound cards install a gameport in the device manager ?
No the gameport is only listed on the Advanced tab in Game Controllers in the Control Panel

How can I get my digital joystick/gamepad to work in digital mode or my Force Feedback joystick to work using the Diamond Monster Sound ?
If you have a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro and multiple MIDI devices than remove one, since both can't be connected at the same time.
Make sure you are using the latest Diamond Monster Sound drivers and the latest drivers for your joystick. (Note: The Sidewinder Game Controller Software 3.00 doesn't work with Diamond Monster Sound cards)
Follow the instructions in the joystick.txt file and check the Joystick page for tips.
Some original Diamond Monster Sound MX100 cards have a hardware problem and don't work with any digital or force feedback joysticks and gamepads even with new drivers. If the new drivers do not help then use the utility (f3joyfix.exe) included with the latest Diamond Monster Sound drivers.  If the utility lists the Monster Sound HW ID as 0x00 then you have a faulty card that needs to be replaced.

How can I get my old soundcard to work in Windows NT4 using the passthrough cable ?
The Diamond Monster Sound needs to load a DSP image to support the passthrough cable to the old soundcard so its not possible.

How can I stop the choppy audio in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II or Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith ?

Try moving the sound card to a different PCI slot. If the problem persists, contact Diamond Multimedia.

Some Diamond Monster Sound M80 cards have a faulty wavetable card. Contact Diamond Multimedia to see if your card needs to be replaced.

Make sure you are using the latest Diamond Monster Sound drivers.
Make sure you are using the the latest version of the game or program.
Check the technical support section of the company the makes the game or program in case they know of a solution.
Try moving the hardware acceleration slider down a few notches if you still have problems.
