
Thomas Peck (1675-1747)

St John's Church - in the church yard.
On an altar-tomb, inclosed with wooden rails, close be the North-east corner of which stands a venerable and lofty yew:
"On the West side lies interred the body of Mrs Anne Kestil, youngest daughter of Thomas Peck,
gent. by Mary his wife, who departed this life 9 Jan. 1739, in the 29th year of her age.
On the West side hereof lieth interred the remains of Job Peck, gent, second son of Thomas Peck, gent. by Mary his wife, who departed this life 23 Nov. 1752 in the 38th year of his age.
On the East side hereof lies interred the remains of Thomas Peck, gent. many years clerk of the peace of this county, third son of Thomas Peck, gent. by Mary his wife, who departed this life the 10th. day of July 1756, in the 38th year of his age.
And also on the North side hereof lieth the body of Mary Peck, wife of Thomas Peck, gent. who departed this life the 13th day of August, 1760, in the 77th year of her age."
On the North side of the same tomb:
On this side lies interred the body of Thomas Peck, gentleman, who departed this life the 10th of Dec. 1747, in the 73rd year of his age.
