I was wandering through a local supermarket thinking about the differences with Safeway and this supermarket in japan.
One thing I noticed, is the checkout chicks do not do a thing! They just scan and put it back into your basket.... you have to pack your own bags... not fair!
Also, it is strange that they have fish just lying in ice in the freezer for you to take yourself and put in a bag... like a serve yourself deli. Also, they would beat us all at the way they present their fruit... it all looks plastic and perfect when you buy it.
