If anyone wants to see some pictures of my school go to my school's website.

Try and work your way around it :)
Here is a movie of what my highschool should look like when it is built

This is a drawing of the university (which has been built)

Anyway, thought you all might be interested.

This site can also be reached through
http://www.bodie.tk

This should be a bit easier than to have to type in my long address.
(but you get one popup ad!)

Japanese version of 'WHAT THE?' and other interesting things:

- Receiving a tissue box from my japanese bank when I made a bank account.
- Not needing a key to unlock/lock/start a car
You must have the key on you tho (somewhere in you bag)
- Children walking home from school must wear a helmet... hmmm... in case of a traffic accident.
- No arrow signals at lights (this is in my town) So people just seem to go when it is green
and dont have their own turn.
- They have CD rental shops (like our video shops) it is good for borrowing, then burning then giving it back.. and cheap!
- Tiny portable DVD players that look really kewl. they have their own screen and everything.
- These amazing plasma screen Laptops with the largest monitors you could imagine.. or the smallest.
- Who needs reflectors on the road, when here we have solar powered lights that are like refelectors that flash on the road.

MORE TO COME (as I am sure there are heaps around)
Soon I will find some Engrish for you.

Two days ago, it snowed!!! This is the first time I have ever seen snow snow. Mind you, it only snowed for about 30 minutes, but it was still cool.. err great to see. I've updated some more pictures in the picture section of my house and school... check it out. I have also added something called "shout outs" which means you can write back to a comment for everyone to see.
Also, I have been asked to perform (violin) at a concert for some sort of volunteer group. I went yesterday to practice with a pianist at the university and after we played some students asked me if I wanted to be in the university orchestra.... Atm tho, there is no practices because of exams, but in a few weeks I can go.. This will boost my (non-existing) sight reading skills.

For all of you that I told that I have a seven story school... i lied... it is not built yet!! In september it will be ready, but for now i will just have to use the old 4 story one :) Pictures to come soon of my school in the photos section.

I was wandering through a local supermarket thinking about the differences with Safeway and this supermarket in japan.
One thing I noticed, is the checkout chicks do not do a thing! They just scan and put it back into your basket.... you have to pack your own bags... not fair!
Also, it is strange that they have fish just lying in ice in the freezer for you to take yourself and put in a bag... like a serve yourself deli. Also, they would beat us all at the way they present their fruit... it all looks plastic and perfect when you buy it.

Some thing not to do in Japan:

Do not play with the buttons in a japanese toilet... or you might be in for a nasty shock!
Luckily, I have heard about this from Carly!

Today there are exams at our shool and so everyone gets the rest of the day off at lunchtime.... except my year level :( We have to stay and clean!!! Not fair!
Ahh well, I get tomorrow and the next day off anyway.

On the weekend, I went to Gotemba for a youth exchange orientation camp. This is near Mt. Fuji, so I got a good photo of it there (check the photos section in a few days). All the inbound and outbound exchange students were there and we had a good time, with a huge feast and karaoke. We had no sleep sat night and so we found it hard to stay awake and listen to what the rotarians had to say... especially some that talked for 40 minutes about something I had no clue about!
