CHIKO MENDEZ

Chiko Méndez, a latin recording artist currently in the studio recording his 2nd album of the New Millenium...A blend of styles in both english & spanish would make this up & coming artist one within his own right...Although his styles include an array of Dance, Pop, House, Balad, Bolero, Chacha, Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Electronica, Techno, House, Club, and yes...even some Jazz...Chiko is always thriving to participate in projects of a challenging nature...The positive outcome is that his songs are in both the spanish & english languages so the latin community can enjoy them as well as native americans in such case where neither will have to wonder..."What did he say!?"...

Chiko is a writer by nature. Having been published in several occassions As A Poet as well as A Songwriter, he takes pride in his lyrics and is very serious about his craft. Though he has no preference about who's material he's interpreting, he is concentrating on releasing his own, but always willing to listen to new prospectus.

Chiko has performed along side of many musical groups that in more than words, "Have Come & Gone", plus, featured in others projects as well...And with a few knots under his belt, both on and off stage, he is prepared for both the business and creative ends of the industry...

Chiko has been looking forward to the approaching future for it is headed this way whether we stand still or not..With this in mind, he has dedicated most of his time in writing, arranging, producing & supervising all aspects of his career in order to greet it with a blissful handshake...With the help of other recording artists like "Papa Frita", also a bilingual vocalist who does backup for Chiko from time to time and assistant to "Rocky Tek", Chiko's personal sound engineer & technician..."Monga", a very talented poet, singer/ songwriter who's material is in the works under "Méndez Múzik"...

Chiko has been To Perú, Salvador and all over the USA on different projects ranging from tekno cumbia to merengue-house...he is a very patient & persistent being who believes in "Slowly But Surely", "Quality", Not "Quantity", but most importantly "All In Due Time" with the sole permission of the almighty "GOD"...His future endeavors include trips to Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Canada & Europe...

Chiko founded his own label, "Méndez Múzik", in 1998 & evergrowing. He is currently looking for the right people in the capacities of radio, production, distribution, promotion, etc...
