Charles Garner Richardson

A barrister. Married Amy of Compton Chamberlayne. She seems to have caused several scandals and the 2 children were brought up seperately. Charles with his father in Eastbourne and William with his mother in Brighton.

Left his money to son Charles.


Amelia (Amy) A'court Penruddocke

Family legend states she offered to bring up Peter Tremayne Richardson in exchange for the house but he didn't want to, and so he missed out on a large inheritance and the property.

She separated from her husband because the second son, William, was said not to be her husbands, so she kept William and Charles G kept Charles Henry and the two boys did not meet until Amy's funeral.


Charles Garner Richardson

After marriage lived at "Beech Hill", Englefield Green, Surrey. Charles left 164,178 pounds to his wife, who when she died disinherited her grandsons and left 178000 pounds and several properties to a cousin (Pole of Shute, Devon).


Caroline Seaborne Davy

She was so furious that ther son Charles and his wife May separated that she disinherited both grandsons (Charles Henry and William Hearle) and all her money, family portraits and property was left to the Pole (promounced Pool) family.


Sir William Henry Richardson

Started as a carpenter, was apprenticed as a Vintner in 1807. He prospered and was Sheriff of St.James, London in 1830. He lived in Park Crescent, London and Chessel House, Southampton. He died intestate, leaving 120,000 pounds which was claimed by his wife.


William Richardson

Was a builder finally living at 72 Great Portland St, London. He died intestate, leaving 800 pounds which was claimed by his sonWilliam.


John Moore

Travelled to Canada and served with the Mounted Police for a time.


Mary Montresor

Daughter of Admiral F.F Montresor
