He was 6th Baron de Braose of Brecknock Castle-Lord of Abergavenney-Lord of Totnes, Brecon and Radnor. He was hanged.

He was the heir to his fathers Estate, and the ancestor of the present day Earl of Lonsdale. He married twice. He married first to Mary Wilson, and second to Eleanor Musgrove in 1576.
