Suzanne is registered with The Psychology Board of Australia, with endorsement to practise as a Clinical Psychologist. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology in Hong Kong, and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with Merit, at The University of Sydney in 1995. She is a founding member of The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), and a member of the Australian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (AACBT).
Having worked at two major teaching hospitals for 5 years, and then in private practice in 8 years, she has extensive experience in a wide range of psychological problems in adults. Her special interests and experience include:
- Psychological treatment of insomnia
- Assessment and treatment for people suffering from anxiety disorders and depression at a specialized anxiety clinic
- Seeing people with posttraumatic stress reactions ( i.e. anxiety and other adjustment problems after being involved in an accident or other traumatic events)
- Seeing people who have just been diagnosed with cancer, coping with active cancer treatments, or adjusting to life as a cancer survivor
- Running programmes for people with tinnitus
- Helping people (often injured in workplace accidents or motor vehicle accidents) cope with their chronic pain
- Dealing with problems seen in a general clinical psychology practice, including depression, panic attacks, agoraphobia, OCD, social phobia, specific phobias, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, weight control, smoking cessation
She sees adults and young people over 16.
