FATAL ERROR: Map not in LAT/LONG (WGS 84)

The program was unable to change the current map window to Lat/Long WGS84 projection.

In MapInfo RASTER layers have priority for map projection and must be in Lat/Long WGS 84 or  turned off. MapInfo is not able to reproject RASTER layers.

Solution is to turn off the visibility of all layers except for the vector/point layers that you want to convert.
