AUXILIARY TABLE for MILL/DRILL Etc Pg 2

Here I am doing a small "set-up" cut on the edge.

Facing across the ends, so far so good.

Set up cut and the ends are nice and square.

My home made heavy base dial surface gauge. Everything is going pretty good so far. There is very little deviation anywhere on the top surface.

I now have the job clamped to my round squares (perpendicular stands) and have set it up to the previously machined "set-up" cut on the edge.

Pic showing the round squares bolted down to the bed with the job clamped up to them. I have a small tapered wedge in each end at the bottom so the thing doesn't move during machining.

Ok the first edge has now been machined and this is now the second side being clamped up to the round squares, the job being supported on a nice parallel piece of keysteel.
