The New York Hop Bitters Company
Registered to Coulson Hay & Co Melbourne, Strange why these only tend to surface in New South Wales, Queensland areas.
There are two Different Mould examples that these bottles can be found in, An EARLY MOULD and a NEWER MOULD.
There is also the 26 oz size which is in the newer mould variation.
The early moulds have an off center Base circle and indented panels, Why the off center base mark is a mystery.
Below the picture of the green NYHB is in the newer mould, The Yellow and amber examples are in the Early mould.
When Comparing the newer mould green NYHB to an aqua example they have the same mould marks,
So there was only one newer mould to make these bottles aswell.

You Can see that they were made in a Variety of colors, I have seen these bottles in few different shades of green.
Below are some newly found colors, This really shows color variations from batch to batch.

NYHB advert from 1885 in a Vic newspaper and shipping listing from Feb 1885 from a QLD newspaper.
Here is a photo of Dr Soules hop Bitters with a New York Hop Bitters label, So this company pretty much used any bottle that was able to meet there requirements. I also feel that the NYHB bottles were a returnable item to be reused.
