Every day

Every day you are in my thoughts,
Every night you're in my dreams.
I can't believe what's happening,
Is this really what it seems?

Days drag by without you,
Seconds with you fly too fast.
I wish I could only see you more,
And make each moment last.

With you, I'm in a whole new world.
You bring out the best in me.
It's hard to picture you not there,
When you’ve taught me who to be.

You’re unlike other friends of mine,
Or anyone I’ve ever known.
Having your presence in my life,
I could never feel alone.

There's just something about you,
That I've never found before.
Although we are the best of friends,
I find myself wanting more.

I never thought it possible,
To care for one this much,
But with everyday that passes,
I long to feel your touch.

I'd be willing to take that chance,
To be more than just your friend.
I’m sure you know this anyway,
But it's easier to play pretend.

I wish I could tell you how I feel,
That I’ve kept locked up inside,
But saying it would make it real,
And I fear you'd run and hide.

Meeting you has changed my life,
I really love you so.
You are more than just a friend to me,
And I had to let you know.
