Rockstar

I cannot get a wink of sleep
I’ve lost my appetite
I toss and turn for hours
Lying in bed late at night

I’m constantly distracted
Can’t think of anything but you
I spend hours daydreaming
There’s nothing I would rather do

I like the way you make me laugh
And how you flirt and tease
Your caramel skin and playful smile
Make me weak at the knees

I fantasise about touching you
Running my fingers through your hair
Caressing every inch of skin
To show you that I care

You can easily make or break me
Cause pools of sorrow or waves of joy
And if you really wanted
You could play me like a toy

But I know that you are not the type
To be reckless with my heart
You are kind, thoughtful and gentle
I could tell right from the start

So now you’re out there chasing dreams
Finally your time to shine
I hope that yours will come true
Since you’ve made me realise mine
