Valentine
The day that I first saw you,
I could not help but stare,
I wanted just to speak to you,
And yet I was too scared.
I thought about you constantly,
Waited patiently for you to walk by,
And when you passed right by me,
I just hoped to catch your eye.
Then that one day you spoke to me,
Your trembling hands you tried to hide,
Although we were both nervous,
Our chemistry couldn’t be denied.
Minutes without you turned into
days,
The seconds with you flew too fast,
I wished that I could see you more,
And make each moment last.
I’ll never forget our talk til
sunrise,
Or those vanilla-scented nights,
All our walks along the beach,
And looking at the Christmas lights.
You tried to teach me manual,
Even let me drive your car,
I wasn’t very good at that,
So we didn’t get too far.
You’ve spoiled me with ice cream,
Called me your lucky charm,
But nothing beats the feeling
Of falling asleep in your arms.
Memorable moments in the steam room,
The red dress you just had to touch,
Your sexy moves on the dancefloor,
All impressed me very much.
So many pancake breakfasts,
Kung fu movies in Chinese,
The time I beat you bowling,
And I couldn’t help but tease.
Not much has changed since the early
days,
I still count the hours until we meet,
Because I’ve never felt this happy,
Babe, you make my life complete.
Now we love each other just the
same,
Our love grows as days pass by.
You’re my one and only baby,
And I’m your sweetie pie.
Although the road ahead gets hard,
At times things will be tough,
I know that we will make it through,
Because our love is strong enough.
My heart belongs to only you,
I am yours and you are mine,
I want you to know I love you,
My spunky valentine.
