| Status: Common in the Blue-Mountains above Penrith |
| The
Australian King-Parrot is a large, beautiful, easily identified bird with it's deep green wings and scarlet head(male only) and breast. They are common in the Blue-Mountains down as far as Glenbrook, but not seen very often in Penrith itself, although they do disperse to low ground in winter. |
