The Mistletoebird as the name suggests lives mainly on the berries of the various Mistletoe species found throughout Australia. The species also eats insects and other fruit and berries when mistletoe is scarce.

Nesting Ecology: The Mistletoebird's nest is a beautiful pear-shaped purse with a slit entrance on the upper side. Made of plant down, spiders web, lichen etc and hung from a leafy twig.
