The Olive-backed Oriole is a bird of the treetops, not unlike the European Song Thrush in size and looks, especially immature specimens which do not have the Olive green back of more mature birds. Not very common, but may be seen in the treetops along the banks of the Nepean in the autumn. Migrates to the north and further inland in winter.
