Status: Resident / Common at times
The Yellow Thornbill is found in flocks or family groups in tall trees alongside the River in Penrith. It's relative the Yellow Rumped Thornbill is also found here, but more often in flocks on the ground.
Size: 10 cm
Nesting Ecology: Builds an untidy domed nest of bark, twigs, moss etc, high in foliage - Aug-Dec
Australian Distribution: East coast from around Mackay to Flinders Ranges.
