Official Re-opening of Granville Pool
The official opening of the newly
refurnished Granville Pool was held on 9th July 2005. Some 100 people attended
the ceremony that was held in the new foyer area of the pool.
Speaks where made by the Lord Mayor of
Parramatta Council David Borger, Margaret Whitlam and John Devitt.
Amongst the attendees where many people who had invested many thousand of hours
to the running of the pools and the various aquatic clubs that have been based
at the pool over the years.
There was a great deal of interest in the panels in the new foyer and the old

The honour of swimming the first lap in the
refurbished pool went to Barry Darke and Emily Leung. Barry grew up locally and
