Luke is bringing a PE175N back to life!

Seat

The seat cover is clearly a disaster - a new one has been ordered. (See also this alternative supplier). Front is also torn away and all along the base it's nearly gone. Much worse than it looked initially - a recurring theme!

Seat

The seat base needed alot of brazing. After I wire-wheeled the thing, it became clear that rust had eaten through in more than 30 places and it was paper thin in spots. You're looking at the good side, before the damage was revealed. Two sticks of brazing rod went into all the holes!

Seat

At least the foam doesn't look too bad. Yes, it's got chunks missing, but I think I can sort that out.

Seat Seat

The plastic trimming along the sharp edge of the seat base - about 10cm of it is missing. Now to find a substitute - I can't put the new cover on until I get that!

Seat Seat

OK a half-hour of kneeling and pulling - here's the final result!
