The latest ringing news at CCSL and SMDP:

Well, the ringing school was a great success. Unfortunately we didn't receive the clapper in time, but we installed it a week later.

Also, in a tower meeting last night, Basil retired from his position of Tower Captain, after just under thirty years of holding the position. We are all heavily indebted to him for all the time and effort he has put into keeping the tower running and teaching learners over this period of time.

The Sydney Ringing School is coming up! Full details are available on the ANZAB web page. Several sessions are planned for Saturday morning at CCSL. We expect to have a new clapper installed in the tenor by then.

In true festive spirit, the clapper of the CCSL tenor sheared in half during our Christmas morning ringing, reducing our cheery 10-bell ringing (in G major) to a dreary 9-bell dirge (in the Dorian mode).
