New entry today - man looking for a female partner. Many other enthusiastic men and women also still seeking partners. The Rock'n'Jive Social Club is holding a 'Car Cruise' on Sunday October 17 at 1.30pm, starting point Kingsway Shopping Centre car park, with a dance at a mystery destination in the metro area.  There will be a sausage sizzle for a gold coin donation at the destination, but own food can be taken as well. There will be first, second and third place prizes - not for the fastest to get from A to B, but for the most correct answers to the fun and interesting questions to keep the passengers busy along the way.  Families and friends are welcome.  Tickets are available for $10/car from the Rock'n'Jive Social Club dances at OPBC on Sept 11 and October  9, or through club committee members Julie - 9447 2121, Sue - 9448 3451 and Lena -9447 7025.    Dancers wanted - Demo in November My name is Mark Tucek and I am planning to have a launch to promote Symphony of Sunflowers to help raise money for a charity called Therapy Focus and Help A Child Grow. It will be held at Cars We Wash which is an old fashioned, retro "drive-in" car wash complete with bubble machine, movie projector and disco ball. So for the launch, I would have a "50's Rock & Roll theme" based on Grease/American Graffiti movies. I am already getting some confirmation from a Hot Rod car club to have some Hot Rod cars present. I plan to have 50's music, Coke & Popcorn etc.   I would like to have some young energetic dancers in 50's costume to donate their time and energy for some exhibition dancing or routines? Please let me know if you can point me in the right direction to anybody/group that may be interested in volunteering?   At this stage, I am thinking for Friday 26th November 5.00pm- 6.00pm.
