Me and My cars

I probably got into Dodge because of Daisy Duke's shorts and the Blue Brother's pork pie hats.
Currently I have two "Dodges".
A 1967 Dodge Phoenix hardtop and a 1967 Dodge Polara 500 covertible.
My now wife bought me the Phoenix many years ago.
It was fixed up and used for daily duties but now it's time for it to be done properly.
I ended up getting a Mazda Bravo ute because it has suicide doors. I love suicide doors.
So the Phoenix was retired from the daily duties and the long list of problems could be sorted out.
The paint is peeling off. I had a fire in the engine bay and the wiring is pretty bad.
So I went on the search for a new "fun" car.
I was actually looking around for another hardtop. I hate B pillars.
I was hoping to find something fairly good, drivable but didn't have to be pretty.
I searched around for ages but I couldn't find anything I was really happy with.
I was thinking of going to have a look at a chev.
There seemed to be more around and to be a much better quality for the money.
There was a mid 60's Impala down the road in quite good nick for $5000.
Then the Polara turned up.
I would have spent at least a month debating with myself whether I wanted the Polara.
A roof chop was being considered for the Phoenix but eventually the Polara won.
So I sent an email off to Stewart to see if it was still available.
His response to my question made me laugh so hard I decided I would buy it.
Problems at work meant I couldn't really organise it for another couple of months.
Stewart to his credit was extremely patient and I would happily deal with him again.
So now it's at my place awaiting some good loving.
