I am a Software Engineer living in Sydney, Australia.

Most days I work and fill up my spare time with Development (of the software variety), Art, Roleplaying and practicing my literacy in enjoyable ways involving chocolates and bed.

I have a wonderful wife named Lucy, who makes me very happy.

I am an ex-executive of and still friends with the UNSW Gameplayers Society.

Puyo is my net identity. My nick. My icon. For example, if I were a decker in a fast paced, near future, cyberpunk world, I would represent myself on the Matrix as this small blue blob with big cute eyes.

Blobs with big cute eyes are a common feature in Japanese popular fiction, especially computer games. Indeed, the name 'Puyo' came from the Japanese computer game, 'Puyo Puyo'.

'Puyo' is also an Indonesian name, an American alternative band, and several other things which escape me now.

I had this funny idea, after shifting through desktop wallpaper and theme archives that you could probably tell a lot about a person by the look of their computer. Well... a nerd, anyway. So here's a little collection of desktop grabs I've had in the past. They're PNGs, because, well, frankly the file sizes would be a bit inhibitive if they were GIFs, and JPGs looked washed out.
