The cave girl
Fresh from painting an elegant peacock dress, this was a
move to the opposite end of the spectrum - both in fashion
and era! Minimalist fashion?
Props? Easy-peasy this time - just a spear.
But - where to find a suitable shaft for it? In the front
garden - one of my wife's prized shrubs. (I asked first though!)
And where to shoot it? Needed a jungle? Well - right outside
our window - there was a near jungle of ferns, so that was
a likely start point. (Keeping the gas heater out of the shot
was Bill's problem - not mine.)
.. and down the back - more jungle.
Our Tango studio (Sidewalk Tango, Swan Street, Richmond), had
a Hawaiian Night for New Year's Eve - complete with flaming
torches as props. Very handy things to borrow when there are
cave-girls to be painted! (Thanks, David.)
Then it was back into the studio to add a little of what is
IN in the way of cave-girl makeup.
Just to prove that cave-girls actually have a sense of humour - and don't look fierce ALL the time, here is Jasmine laughing at the rest of this dedicated team.
