Julie in Versace

I've long been searching for someone enough like Liz Hurley to do the "Safety pin dress" which I think was worn to the premiere of "Four weddings & a funeral".

I was painting autumn leaves on to Julie a couple of weeks back, and she said "What other projects have you got in the pipeline?". "Well", I need a Liz Hurley look-alike", I said, "and so far no dice.". I looked up from where I was carefully endeavouring to make one autumn leaf look just randomly different enough from its neighbours - and realised I'd been blind as a bat - and we started planning the next project!

After all the time I'd spent searching for Liz images, and poring over the details, it was obvious that I knew all there was to know about this image. (Hell, I'd seen the actual dress at the recent Versace exhibition, and been threatened with death for discreetly taking a photo. Well - how was I to know the flash was going to go off??)

So - who was in danger of having a hissy fit when Julie started noticing nitty gritty features that I'd overlooked?

These are low-res digital shots. The film is still in Bill's camera for the real shots - but I couldn't contain myself - so the "rushes" are getting an airing first.

Thanks

Thanks to Julie - for her enthusiasm, uncomplainingly braving the cold, and being willing to cope with removal of all that black paint. (It makes such a mess in the shower!)

Thanks to Bill Poon for the photography, (These are just the digital shots, the real ones shortly) - and the vital supply of coffee.
