A genuine Paint Stripper
This all started when my son gave me a book of Flacco cartoons, including one
which highlighted the ambiguity of the term Paint Stripper - and I knew
I had to paint the image which sprang to mind.
So - here's a paint stripper - caught in the act!
And of course, any stripper needs a decent hat to hide behind from time to time.
Just slipping off the garter.
.. and slipping out of this little item no longer needed.
We actually tried to catch the discarded garment in mid-flight, but never
quite managed it.
Most projects seem to involve a lengthy search for an appropriate model,
but in this case Nerissa (aka Riss) emailed me about the possibility of
working together on a project - and it all started to happen.
This shot caused a certain amount of falling about, as the males of the crew
attempted to demonstrate the finer points of garter removal.
(Several theories were advanced to explain any sign of actual expertise at this.)
Finale! That's all folks. Everything else stays on.
Photography
Studio and lighting were set up by Stephen Corneille (thanks again Steve)
and Manuel Negri stepped in to do the late night shoot itself. Riss's
partner Chris wielded another camera, and I popped off a few as well. (Why should
they have all the fun?)
Thanks
- Nerissa - for endless patience and cooperation.
-
.. (Nerissa's email
and
web page)
- John Corneille - for borrowing your studio and equipment yet again.
- Stephen Corneille - lighting set up and loan of gear.
- Manuel Negri - photography - (and for much hilarity while demonstrating poses).
- Chris - for photograpy - and support during the painting process.
- Yvonne - for doing another food/drink supply run when it was most needed.
