Jenolan Caves used to have a camping ground but this was closed in 2005. Those visitors wishing to visit the caves and camp do still have some options although they do require a car to access as no camping grounds are within easy walking distance.
State Forest Camping Ground
This is located on the road in to Jenolan from Lithgow. It is located about 10km from the caves. Families should note it is very popular with trail bike riders so the area has been known to get a bit wild of late. The ground is situated on the edge of the pine forest with many campers opting to camp a shotr way into the forest.
Kanangra Boyd - Boyd River Crossing
This camping ground is about 40 minutes drive from Jenolan and is within the Kanangra Boyd National Park. There is limited camping space available (when last checked only 30 spaces).
Situated 5 minutes drive off the Great Western Highway, Glenroy camping ground is very easy to find as it is right on the road to Jenolan. It is a very popular spot with families although it only becomes crowded at Easter and Christmas.
