Crozier
Cane Drone reeds are the second generation of the original “Ross Reed”
that was first manufactured in 1985. The new release coincides with the 20th
anniversary of the original reed that was made from a black plastic body with
a flat sealed cane tongue. Identical in manufacturing methods and using the
original tools and machinery, the Crozier Cane Reeds are equal to their predecessor
in operation and performance but with a modern body design. Due to the increasing
pitch of bagpipes in the last 20 years, the new Crozier Cane Reeds are now made
to a higher pitch to suit today’s piper.
