Indianapolis

We won't even be home 24 hours when we leave for The Palace of Auburn Hills (Detroit, Michigan).

With Sunday's Chicago concert still fresh in my head, and one I will never forget, Donna, Pat (freelife) and myself made our way down to Indianapolis (3+ hours) checked into our hotel (a 4* hotel cheap through Hotwire).

I had just gotten tickets off Ticketmaster (a fluke-if you will) the day prior Fl 1, Row 4 at face value (so that's a deal in itself). Pat did not have a ticket, nothing was coming up at all. Our mission was to get Pat a ticket.

Pat made a few phone calls to other fans and our own Sherry made her way to the venue and got Pat at ticket at the box office Fl Row 4. Yippee-we screamed for joy!!. We made our way across town to the venue and met up with Cathy, Roger and Agnes, visited for a bit and headed down to out seats. Pat's fourth row seat ended up being like Row 2 on the right due to the way the seating is this year. When Donna and I got down to the floor an usher escorted up to the front floor section making our way to row 4 only to pass it up, so I hesitated a bit, but he said, come on, up here. He put us in the front row (FRONT ROW-CENTER STAGE--sorry, no pics).

Like a stupid, I said, Are you sure this is correct? We have row 4. He assured me these were our seats!!! OMG, OMG, OMG!! PRETTY AMAZING!! Sherry and Kate also had first row seats but on the left side.

Cathy, Roger and Agnes were in the left side risers. Neil took the stage and he had them on their feet from the first strum of the guitar and that's the way it stayed. Indianapolis was ready to rock and roll and he surely didn't have to tell this packed house to stand up, no not once!! He wore a beautiful black shirt with gold sparkles (hard to explain) but it was gorgeous. For the encore he had yet another shimmery dark shirt that just glistened under the lights. The setlist remains the same WITHOUT "One More Bite of the Apple".

He started out with Holly Holy. Another flawless performance with an emotional Hell Yeah, both for him and the fans alike. Talk about intense when you are only less than 2 feet away. Sweet Caroline gave way to tremendous applause and cheers wanting more--Neil said he saw two people not singing along and we would have to do it again and we did. Song Sung Blue also kept most of the crowd up and on their feet. We danced all night, sang to the top of our lungs and walked out happy, emotionally and physically drained. Tired and exhausted, I now have to work late into the night and very early in the morning and then head to Detroit and right on to Grand Rapids on Friday. Thank you Neil for yet another tremendous performance. If we haven't told you lately, YOUR FANS LOVE YOU NEIL!!
