My aunt Lorna Ridgway nee Sherwood, was given two wedding rings by her aunt Gertrude Henderson. (See the thumbnail photo opposite.) Gertrude the last surviving member of Agnes a
nd Thomas Henderson's children, lived with Lorna and her family in Oakleigh up until she passed away in 1982.
The first wedding ring shown bottom right , belonged to Jane Ludden. Jane married Richard Grayling in Tasmania in 1837.The second ring
( top right), belonged to Jane's daughter Agnes Grayling. Agnes married Thomas Henderson in 1870. The third ring on the far left, belonged to Agnes' daughter Jane Ludden Henderson. Jane married Arthur Sherwood in 1909. Three generations in all. Jane Ludden's wedding ring according to Lorna was made of Rose gold. Just recently it was cut in half and made into two smaller rings.
