8 random facts meme

Edublogger Janet Clarey tagged me on the Random Facts Meme (thanks!). The irony is that I accidentally found her tag while following up on a comment I'd posted on her blog--I didn't actually receive her notification! A quick blog search and a traceback over a handful of months sees some meme tags of seven, others with nine or ten items. I'll stick with eight.

Here are the rules:
  1. Players start with 8 random facts about themselves.
  2. Those who are tagged should post these rules and their 8 random facts.
  3. Players should tag 8 other people and notify them they have been tagged.

Here are some achievements, admissions and quirks:
  1. I have not been a full-time employee since 1995.

  2. I never use a calculator to add up columns of numbers.

  3. I have skied for 45 years (so far).

  4. I remain the final Lubensky in my paternal family line going back at least three generations. My daughters may change the rules.

  5. I am bestowed with three nipples.

  6. In the early 1990s I was programming the user interfaces for the then-new colour ATMs. Millions have seen the scanned image of my index finger.

  7. I was the male lead in my grade 5 school musical. I haven't performed since.

  8. I went for two years without a television.
I do not know eight people who both maintain a web presence and who have not already received this meme. In Australian rules footy parlance, I've gone to ground after receiving the handpass.
