Gordon Struk (President) gave a lecture on chess openings, explaining the Queens Gambit opening and the variation of move, white is offering a pawn in exchange for rapid development.

The Queen's Gambit offer can be declined or accepted by black. to accept can be risky for black. The lecture was very interesting and well received by all.
