Hello, and welcome!
To the internet home of The Happy Hour radio show. Where the drinks are cheap, and the music and good times are always on the house!

My name is Robyn, and I make my home in Brisbane, in the beautiful country of Australia.

On any given weekday, you will find me working hard in my profession of teaching, at the Brisbane School of Distance Education. Click the two links below to view the school's official web pages:

On Tuesdays however, at 7 hours Universal, it's a time I always look forward to. When I get to swap the teacher duties for my beloved music and a microphone, and present The Happy Hour on ACB Radio Interactive.

ACB radio interactive is an internet radio station provided by the American council of the Blind. It is staffed exclusively by blind and vision impaired presenters from around the world, and provides a wide variety of entertainment and musical content. If you'd like to learn more about the station's program offerings, why not take a peek at our regularly updated schedule.

It is my aim to make The Happy Hour exactly what its name suggests. A way of bringing people together around an hour of music, in what is becoming for many of us an increasingly hectic and demanding world. So, whether you're looking for somewhere to unwind, or Seeking a little companionship as you work, you are warmly invited to drop in at The Happy Hour each week.

On the Happy Hour I play music predominantly from the lighter pop genre. You are bound to hear many of my favourites from the sixties and seventies, mixed in with the occasional more recent tuen which has found its way into my affections.

If you'd like to contact me during The program, you can write to:
request@acbradio.org
I'd be delighted to hear from you, to send out a cheerio, and within the scope of my music collection, to put on a request for you. Alternatively, I can be reached at:
robyn@acbradio.org
and again you are most welcome to get in touch.

The Happy Hour owes its existence in large part to the support of David Truong from The Aussie Kaleidoscope. Without David's talents and adventurous spirit there would be no Aussie Kaleidoscope, and without his encouragement I doubt I would have found the confidence to launch The Happy Hour. I am so glad I did!

Well, there you have it, the story of the Happy Hour so far! Now that you've come across us here, I hope you'll drop in, and make Tuesday from 7 to 8 Universal an extra Happy hour on your weekly agenda.
