Personal Prayers

Womanhood

Lord, I am a woman. You have made us different from men as You have different roles for us than You do for them.

I give You my womanhood, femininity, sexuality and, as applicable, my roles as a wife, homemaker, mother and partner in the past, present and future and all the ways I express what I am as a woman. I want to express this as You want me to and not as the world says I should.

I give you any headship submission I have had, have now or will have and I am sorry for anything I have done wrong in these any areas of my womanhood. I want You to be my spiritual Head. I also want to be able to fulfil my role of submitting properly to my husband or future husband as my domestic head because you ask me to do this for You.

Manhood

Lord, I am a man. You have made us different from women as You have a different roles for us than you do for them.

I give You my manhood, masculinity, sexuality and, as applicable, roles as a husband, provider, father, partner and parent in the past, present and future and all the ways I express what I am as a man. I want to express this as You want me to and not as the world says I should.

I give You any headship role I have had, have now or will have and I am sorry for anything I have done wrong in this area as I want You to be my spiritual Head also I want to be able to love my wife as you want me to love her and to properly fulfil my Role as her domestic head because you ask me to do this for You.

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in any areas of my manhood as I want to be the man You want me to be.

A husband and wife can pray

I give you my relationship with my spouse. Lord, I want all that is done with them; serving them, ministry, intimacy, sex, whatever we do as a couple to be based on Love, appreciation and thanksgiving for who they are in You. I am sorry for the wrong things I have done in these areas and ask You, Holy Ghost, to guide me in the area of relationship with my spouse

A single woman or man should pray

Lord, you are my Head. I love you and want to live as a faithful servant. I give you all my life, my future and or past earthly marriage, my sorrows and problems, sadnesses, pain, finances all I am and have to hold for me and I thank You that You meet my needs in here and in heaven. I am sorry for anything I have one wrong in these areas and will try not to do them again out of love for you.

Parents should pray

Lord, I want to be a good parent and raise my children the way you want me too. I am sorry for anything I have done wrong in this area and will try to do only what you want me to do as a parent. Show me how to discipline them in your Love and to guide how to teach them to be like you in all they do.

Dedication of a child by parents

Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of this child (name child) and ask you to guide and teach us how to love and nurture them and to teach them how to be your child to live as You want them to live. They are Yours Lord, so show us how to be good stewards of them and nurture them as you want us too.

Children should pray

Jesus, I will try to obey the authority over me (parents, teachers, policemen, coaches and others you have placed over me) I am sorry for anything I have done wrong and in future I will try to obey as I should the authority you have placed over me.

The curse on Adam (for men)

I thank you Father all curses were broken at Calvary so in Jesus name I declare the curses on Adam were also dealt with at Calvary and in Jesus’ Name I command any demons implementing these curses on me and all I am a steward of to go immediately to the abyss and not return. I give this whole area to you Jesus and repent of anything I have done wrong in this area.

The curse on Eve (for women) Gen. 3:16, to be prayed by women.

Lord, I give you those areas of my life that deals with my reproduction cycle periods and pregnancy, now, in the future as well as all childbirth events: past present or future. I give them to you and know that the curse has been dealt with on the cross and broken there so in Jesus name I command every demon enforcing this curse to go immediately and not return.

Abortion

Lord, I am sorry I had an abortion and killed the life you gave me. You know I will not do it again. I am sorry I did not obey your command to be fruitful and multiply. Thank you that I will meet my baby in heaven and that my baby is with you now. I forgive whoever advised me to have an abortion as well as the person who did the abortion for what they have done to me. In Jesus Name I break any wrong soul ties and command healing on these broken soul ties and in Jesus Name I command the demons that used these soul ties in any way to go to the abyss.

Miscarriage

Lord, I have had a miscarriage. There was sadness, pain and even a sense of guilt in case I contributed to it. But I trust you Lord for what happened as it is still part of your perfect plan for my life and does in some way work for my best. I thank you I will see my baby in heaven one day and rejoice in their company. I give this whole area and any associated areas to you and am sorry for anything I have done in relationship to these areas and to others as a result of this miscarriage.

Single Unmarried Mothers

Thank You for the child You have entrusted to my care. I am sorry for any wrong attitudes I had or for any misuse of my body in regards to becoming pregnant with this child. I thank You that all guilt, shame, and condemnation were dealt with at Calvary and in Jesus’ Name I command them all to go to the abyss

I thank You for helping me with the physical consequence of this sin that gave occasion to my being a single mother. I give You my role as a single mother and know that in You I will be adequate to carry out this responsibility. I am sorry for anything I have done wrong in these areas.

Also, in Jesus Name I break any wrong soul ties and command healing on these broken soul ties in me and any other person with whom I have had sex outside of marriage and I forgive them for what they have done to me and I command in Jesus’ Name that the demons that have used these areas or the soul ties in any way to go to the abyss.

Sex outside of Marriage

You need to to find the hurts that are causing you to compensate this way and deal with them using the framework of the five steps.

Lord, I am sorry I misused my body this way and give to you all hurts and circumstances that drove me to compensate this way. I forgive all who have used me for their pleasure or hurt me in these areas and in Jesus Name I break any wrong soul ties and command healing on these broken soul ties in me and the other person and ask you to heal them and in Jesus Name command any demons that used them in any way to go to the abyss

Anorexia and Buleimia

These are demons and are a compensation for a hurt as well as to get attention. The root cause needs to be determined. Lack of self-esteem and self worth are a part of it and it is a form of suicide. The root will be in an abuse. Pray as led by The Spirit or you can use some of the prayers in this section or the previous chapter that deal with different aspects of these illnesses.

Cultural Inheritance

Lord, I give You my nationality, my tribal clan and family inheritances, traditions, practices, culture and expression. I am sorry for anything I have done wrong in these areas. I want to be a citizen of Your kingdom above all else and not to be influenced by the earthly things Satan has set up to control people.

Fortune telling, Witchcraft, Magic, etc.

Lord, I give You all my superstitious beliefs, magic, witchcraft, fortune telling, astrology, the so-called ‘secret wisdom’ I have learned from satanic or secret societies and cults as well as all that is incorrect or ungodly in my learning and practice of my beliefs. I reject all of it Lord Jesus. I am sorry, Lord, for having been involved in these in any way and want You, Holy Spirit, to guide me in all I do and to teach me what Jesus wants to teach me. From now on I will trust You Jesus for all that happens to me. In Jesus Name I command all demons that have used any of these things in my life to go to the abyss.

Failure and Under-Achievement

Lord, I am sorry for the times I did not try, failed, or underachieved because I believed I was not able to do the things you gave me to do. I repent of not believing you made me adequate to do what you asked me to do. I also repent of not using the abilities You gave me as I should. I also give to You all my failures and broken hopes. I am sorry for the wrong things I did in these areas and forgive all who hurt me in these areas.

Defence Mechanisms

Lord, I give to You all my coping and defence mechanisms including sex, drugs, smoking, alcohol, anger, wrong affections, controlling others, collecting things and all other wrong emotions, attitudes or things that I use or have used to cope with hurts and pain. I also give You the walls, masks or other things I have put on to prevent people from seeing me as I really am along with any hypocrisy I have used to protect myself from people. Lord, I give You my self-worth, self-esteem, self-appreciation, and any other way in which I value myself. I want to see myself as You see me and not as Satan wants me to see myself.

I give You all these areas of my life as well as the events or circumstances that resulted in the these hurts, pains, rejections, coping mechanisms, walls, masks or anything else I have used to hide from people. I don’t want these wrong ways of reacting. I want to act as Jesus wants me to. In Jesus’ Name I command every demon that has promoted these in me or used these in any way to go to the abyss.

I know I have value only because of what You, The Father, and The Holy Spirit think of me, and I am sorry for anything I have done wrong in any of these areas.

Rejection

I give You all the rejection, feelings of abandonment and the loneliness I have and have had as I know I am never lonely or rejected because The Father, You, and The Holy Spirit accept me as I am and not as I think I should be. You have even given me The Holy Spirit to live in me. I am sorry for any wrong attitudes I have had in this area and ask You to guide me to fellowship with The Holy Spirit so I will never be lonely again.

Lord, I ask also for a correct appreciation of the relationship I have with You, The Father and The Holy Spirit so that I can appreciate your love for me and can respond in love to you.

Being Undermined by Others

Lord, I have been undermined by friends, relatives and strangers. Satan has used that to take away my self-worth, self-esteem, self-value. I forgive them and myself for accepting what they told me, Lord. I ask You to restore and heal the heart of flesh, the wounded spirit and the sound mind you gave me so that my self-esteem, value, worth and the way I relate are a result of my relationship to You and what You think of me.

I give You all the events and situations in which this undermining occurred and forgive those that hurt me in this way. I am sorry for the wrong things I did and the wrong attitudes I have as a result of these. I don’t want these attitudes Lord, so I give me to You to deal with.

Inordinate Affections for Animals and Objects or Infatuation with People

Lord, I repent of being infatuated with things, animals, people or anything else and not relating to them as I should: pets, objects, people, things, ideas and theories, anything I have related to wrongly and made it into an idol by this. I am sorry for this Lord and give these to You so I can love these as I should and so they do not displace you in my heart.

I repent of any idolatry associated with these inordinate affection or anything else resulting from this Lord, and I am sorry for these. I want to worship You alone Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit only, and with worship that is in spirit and in truth.

Divorce

Lord I give to you all the circumstances of my marriage and divorce. I forgive my spouse and anyone that encouraged me wrongly to divorce as well as any person my spouse has used to displace me in their heart. In Jesus Name I break all soul ties and hurts that have occurred as a result of the tearing apart of the marriage and I ask you to heal these now. In Jesus’ Name I command all demons that have used these to go to the abyss.

I ask for the strength to love my partner as I should before, during and after the divorce and to do carry out my role as their spouse until the divorce is final.

Guilt over the Divorce

I thank you lord that all I did wrong in the marriage and divorce was forgiven at Calvary and that all that was allowed was in your permissible will and best for me in the circumstances I was under. I know that after Calvary, shame guilt and condemnation is put upon me only by Satan as these were all dealt with by you on the Cross and I command any of these on me to go in Jesus’ Name.

Thank you that I can approach your Throne of Grace freely and righteously in your righteousness and not my own.

Other Personal Things

Finances

I give You all my finances and provision. I also give you the "cares of the world," any "love of money" I have, greed, or anything that makes me want the things of this world contrary to what You want for me. I am sorry for these idols Lord, as I want to be a good steward of the things You have loaned to me. I give You my stewardship as well, and I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in these areas.

Dreams and Hopes

Lord, I give You my dreams, hopes and expectations for the future. I want them to be what You want and not what I want, as I know Your Will is better than anything I can imagine. I want my promotion and rewards to come from You and not from man’s methods or expectations. I am sorry for not wanting this earlier and for the wrong things I have done as a result of these incorrect desires, hopes and expectations. I repent of impatience as well and not waiting for your timing and lack of faith that made me do this. Strengthen me please Jesus to wait for your perfect timing in what you want to do for me.

Entertainments, Relaxation and Use of Time

I give to You the way I entertain myself, relax, and the ways I use to remove stress from my life. I give You my use of time so that I use it as You want me to. I am sorry for the wrong things I did to entertain myself or remove stress or for any wrong use of time. I want to do only those things that are pleasing to You with the time left You have given me on this earth.

Worry and Anxiety

Worry and Anxiety are a sins. They deny God’s control over those circumstances you are worrying or anxious about as well as God’s provision for those circumstances. Worry or anxiety is not the same as being concerned about something. Concern tries to resolve the problem or situation under God’s guidance you or another is facing while worry seeks to solve this situation using your own reasoning.

Worry is a result of a fear and not a root cause in itself. It is a lack of trust in God, His control, Purposes, Plans and Love for you. This cause of this fear needs to be discerned and dealt with.

Worry and anxiety question God’s Love for you and brings His Love and Grace into disrepute in the spiritual realm and sometimes the physical realm. Worry and anxiety are a form of self-protection as one tries to tailor a situation so they will not suffer harm.

True concern is willing to suffer harm to resolve the situation as it will be resolved in God’s way and for His Glory and their best.

Ask The Lord to show you why you are worried or concerned then deal with it using the framework of "The Five Steps’.

Fear of Change

Fear of change is what keeps many trapped stopping them being delivered. You need to determine what the cause of the fear is and then pray as follows:

Lord, I am afraid of change in case something worse happens to me so I give this fear to you and declare all things you do for me are for my best and all change you do for me is best for me. I am sorry I have not trusted you in this. I repent of not trusting you and will trust you in future. I forgive myself and all who placed this fear in me or caused the events that placed this fear in me and give you all these events and circumstances. I forgive them and repent of wrong attitudes to them, of bitterness and root of bitterness and say to Satan I will no longer fear change so you must go in Jesus name to the abyss.

Casting out prayers to say if any of the prayers in this section are said.

Satan, you no longer have a right to work in these areas as I have given them to Jesus, so in Jesus’ Name go to the abyss and take all you put on me or in me with you.

In Jesus’ Name I command complete healing and restoration of all the damage Satan did to me and to my wounded spirit, ‘heart of flesh’ and the sound mind promised to all who follow Jesus as well as integration of every part of my being and personality .

I ask You Jesus to fill me afresh by The Holy Spirit.
