What is the Christian life?

It is t he expression of a relationship of love with The Father and The Son under the guidance of The Holy Spirit which results in loving service to The Father and Jesus out of gratitude for what they have done for you.

How does one live as a servant of Jesus?

By demonstrating the mind of Jesus and The Will of The Father in all they do!

By following the example of Jesus as He is the most perfect example of a servant of God!

Why become a follower of Jesus?

How does one become a follower of Jesus?

You become a follower of Jesus by placing yourself completely under the authority Jesus. This is what it means to be a follower of Jesus. You place your life, your will, all you have, all your purposes and desires, under the complete authority of Jesus as that is all He will accept from you. All is placed at his disposal for Him to use as he requires. In between those times of Him requiring your service, you go about your daily business but in accordance with His rules and guidelines .

Why follow Jesus?

Out of love and gratitude for what He has done for you!

He came to earth, teaching and demonstrating how God wanted you to live, then died in your place so you could become a follower of Him and a citizen of the Kingdom of God Kingdom and have a personal relationship with Him and His Father.

What danger were we in that He had to die in our place?

We belonged to the kingdom of His enemy and were in danger of suffering the same fate as His enemy – the fate of those that deliberately ignore God’s Law and requirements as well as of those that do not obey Him or pledge their allegiance to Him but only give casual allegiance to Him and His requirements.

We could not meet God’s requirements so Jesus died and met the requirements of God on our behalf so that we no longer separated from God but could relate to Him continually if we wanted too.

What does it mean to live as follower of Jesus?

A follower of Jesus is one who obeys Him in all they do because they love him are led by The Holy Spirit and do what The Spirit says in everything.

How does this affect His followers?

Whenever He summons them they stop what they are doing and go to him immediately. If he asks them to do something they stop what they are doing and do what he asks. By this they show they Love and Worship Him as their Lord and Saviour.

They understand their possessions are on loan from Jesus. He can take them whenever he needs too and do what he needs to do with them.

The plans of the his followers are governed by the wishes of Jesus and they must do His desire before theirs. Whenever they make their plans they consider what his plans and requirements are for them.

The understand the wealth they have is on loan from God and is to be used for his purposes

They marry who he says to and live where he says to.

They have freedom within the guidelines that Jesus sets them for living.

They serve a Lord who Loves them and does only what is best for them so it is easy for them to obey Him.

Christians, who follow Jesus, must obey Him as Lord. To disobey Jesus is to bring destruction on yourself. To ignore Jesus or His wishes also brings destruction on yourself

The true follower serves Jesus with joy (that he has been chosen to do so) and in love and gratitude for what He has done for them. They delight to do His will and gladly release to Him control of all they are and have.

So should everyone who calls themselves a Christian and follower of Jesus.

How does our following Jesus affect out life

As Jesus is our Lord and King we need to obey Him and minister to Him in all we do. Anything else is idolatry as it places our desires before that of our Lord Jesus.

How should we then live? Well we have the example of Jesus to follow, the most perfect man that ever lived.

What did he do and how should we respond to this?

We should live as Jesus did:

He taught the principles of living and serving God to all who would listen (discipling) as well as those who did not know them (evangelism) and warned those that knew them but ignored them to repent. We should be teaching what Jesus taught.

He demonstrated the authority, power and character of a servant of The Father. Our lives should also show the authority of Jesus over demons, illness and infirmity (both spiritual and physical)

He died for the purposes of The Father. If we love The Father we will die for His purposes if necessary but only as He tells us too.

He lived a life led by its guide (The Holy Ghost) bringing honour to The Father. We should be led by The Holy Spirit bringing honour only to Jesus and The Father.

He lived a life of Love, showing the Character of God (Love) and the attitudes a follower of God should have. We too should be noted for our Love and moderation as well as the other attitudes a Christian should have.

He defended God's Name and Laws against its enemies. We too should defend the Name and Laws of The Father when His Name and character is blasphemed, abused , mocked, ridiculed, used inappropriately in comedy or movies etc.

He sought His Father's Will in all areas. We should seek the Will of God in all we do in preference to our own.

Ministry (serving the King)

Ministry is firstly to The Lord (King) and then to others as He requires (directs).

You minister to Jesus by obeying Him (doing what He requires). This may result in an action towards others on His behalf.

"Out of your love for me," says Jesus "Love others as I Love them".

If you Love me you will look after my things and my Name and Holiness"

The basis for all ministry is service to The Father and Jesus out of Love and gratitude to them and as a result of this love and gratitude serving others as He requests you to do. He then tells us where , how and what HE wants us to do for Him so service is really to another on Is behalf. IF it is not this then it is from wrong motives.

Who to serve

Many people in the churches desire to serve God. instead of asking God they go to the minister and ask them how they are to serve God.

Jesus said that THe Holy SPirit would lead you and guide you so why do thye go to man?

Why do ministries want you to go to their leaders and not directly to The Holy Spirit and why do they not teach you how to hear The Holy SPirit in everyday life?

They come between you and The Holy SPirit and take the place of God in your life. They teach you to listen to them and ignore The Holy SPirit in you, placed there by God to empower and lead you and ask you to take their authorisations for ministry instead of the empowerment of The Holy Spirit.

They are servants to guide you in problem solving so you draw nearer to God and not to tell you what God wants you to do for their church as it is His church and He is in charge of it and it is He that builds it and tells you where you are to be in the structure of it. He may have you serve in a church in a certain capacity but He has placed you there and not a minister.

Do you want to serve God?

You desire to be used by God? The obey Him each day in all He gives you (Matt 6:33). Then he can place you where he needs to train you for you to learn the skills you will need when you serve Him.

At times you will not even know you are being trained for ministry and will consider them everyday chores. But they are all necessary and not just the unusual rials or events He places you through.

THrough all these He will prepare you to serve HIm and one day you will be serving Him and look back at your life and wonder how all these different trainings were organised and brought together in they the way have been so you would be prepared to serve Jesus in a way more wonderful than you ever dreamt of.

Should we desire the gifts or signs?

Gifts are used to minister to the body while signs are usually reserved for the demonstration of the Kingdom during evangelism.

People usually desire prophecy as a gift when they minister to the body but prophecy is of little use in deliverance or pastoral counselling, which is a of a large part of Christian ministry.

Should we seek these instead of prophecy? Paul says not too. He says that love is more important as it is the basis if all ministry.

So should we seek Love? Jesus said not to. He said We are to seek to develop further the relationship we have with Him and to seek the purposes of His Kingdom and all we need: gifts, provision, spiritual authority etc., would be given to us.

Seek Jesus and not the manifestations of His Kingdom: signs, gifts,, the fivefold, His provision and ministries etc. and all you need of these will be given to you and not what you think you need.

Work of Holy Spirit

John 16:8-11 (in regard to non-Christian)

To convict people they have fallen short of the requirements of God and as such are in rebellion to Him.

To convict people that eternal life is found in a proper relationship with Jesus and The Father - Jn 17:3

To convict people of the judgment of Satan and his kingdom

To convict people that there is a judgement of those who reject God and are by default members of the kingdom of Satan and that they too are under judgment

To convict Christians of their incorrect relationship with God

Some areas he is active in regarding Christians:

To authorise them in a ministry (Acts 1:8)

To lead them into all truth and guide them as they live (Jn 16:13)

To teach them about Jesus (Jn 7:17)

What is our role in evangelism?

We are to be available for The Holy Spirit to send us where he needs us to speak the words He wants to use so He can use us as necessary to convict people of their need for Jesus. If He does not do this then it is done through the wisdom of man and words of man and not the Power of The Holy Spirit.

Are the gifts of The Holy Spirit for today?

The early church turned the world upside down. What did they have to do this?

The authority of Jesus to remove the works of the enemy (exorcism of objects and deliverance of people Mark 16:17)

The Leading, Guidance and Empowerment of The Holy Spirit

The Gifts of The Holy Spirit

Complete trust in God’s Power (Authority), Purposes, Provision and Protection (Matt 6:33)

A knowledge of a contemporary Jesus (they knew He had existed, so what He said and did was very real to them).

The first three points are what God gave them to use, the latter was to do with the relationship they had with Jesus, The Holy Spirit and God.

Some of the modern church in the West states the first three points are no longer applicable to this modern era and so are not available to modern Christians. They serve a callous and uncaring God who expects them to do the work of the early church without the equipment God gave the early church to do His work.

To ask people to work in a supernatural sphere without the supernatural provision of God is callous and inappropriate but this is what many western churches ask its member to do. They have removed the supernatural element from their battle and wonder why the church (as they know it) dying and not achieving what God requires it to achieve.

They pray, it is true, but do not do what God asks them to do. He gave us the authority to cast out demons, to heal the sick, to preach the Word with miracles and did not tell us to ask Him to do this for us. The church prays and wonders why God does not act when most of the time He wants them to step out in faith and act and not just pray. Prayer is important but it cannot replace our responsibility to act as He requires us to or the authority of Jesus over Satan expressed by the word of command (in Jesus Name./Authority/Will.

The King usually sends His servants to do His work and provides what they need for this. Many churches have forgotten this principle and so build he denomination, forgetting they are servants of Jesus alone.

Jesus demonstrated The Kingdom of God and taught about it. He destroyed the works of the enemy and set people free from the enemy’s bondage. If you are not;

Preaching The Kingdom

Illustrating it by using your delegated authority to deal with demons,

Using the Gifts of The Holy Spirit,

Removing the works of the enemy in a Christians life (deliverance and healing) and

Walking accordance to the guidance and empowerment of The Holy Spirit

Then you are not living as the early church did and are not doing the work of Jesus.

Jesus said that these things would follow those that believe in Him (Mark 16:17) so if they are not being done by you then you had better find out why.

If you do not use the supernatural weapons and gifts that Jesus has given you then you will be using the methods and coping systems of the world to compensate for your failures and will appear to them as being no different too the world except that you are more disciplined in some areas than they are.

If the world cannot see the supernatural in your life, that Jesus and The Holy Spirit is still at work, then they will not see any reason to follow your beliefs and that means they will see no reason to follow Jesus.

They will see the church as just another organization or social body and will go to the New Age or Satanism where the supernatural is occurring because demons know this is what attracts people. Without the supernatural element the church is not a relevant faith to follow which is why cults are so easily able to lead people from the true church.

Unless the supernatural is relevant in your life you are not relevant to all who would want to follow Jesus and who would be encouraged to put their trust in Him. You are also not representing Him and His Kingdom as He requires all His subjects to destroy the work of the enemy in people and society.

If you are not doing any of His work how can you call yourself a citizen of His Kingdom and a follower of Jesus (a Christian)? His early followers were noted for doing His work (deliverance and teaching of the Kingdom) and loving others as He loved them. If you are not doing this then what will you say to Jesus when you are asked to give an account of how you used your life on earth.

Remember the work of the denomination is not His work but work for a system set up by man as Jesus did not set up denominations and spoke against factioning The Body. You will only do His work as you are led By His spirit so if you are not led by His Spirit then you are probably not doing what He wants you to do.

You will not be judged for trying to use the gifts and not succeeding or incorrectly teaching the Kingdom out of incorrect knowledge about it You will be judged for not bothering to do either when you know you should or not studying The Bible to learn what it says so you can teach it correctly.

When the church demonstrates The kingdom of God with power and authority and in the way He Loves people then it will attract people to His Kingdom, otherwise it may as well be a social club for all the relevance it will have to the world and God’s enemy.

‘Sons of God’

Those who are in a righteous (correct) relationship with Jesus, led by The Holy Spirit are called "sons of God" (Rom. 8:14). This refers to being adopted by God as a "son" of His with all the rights of the natural born son. Jesus. Jesus calls us family (relatives by adoption of His Father). Accordingly, God looks after us as His son because we love His natural born son, Jesus.

What Father, who love as their son, does not provide for their needs. Hence we can trust Mat 6:33 unless we don’t trust God’s Love. The Father has given us Jesus. Everything we need to be able to get in to a righteous relationship with Him and The Father. What more can He give us but the physical things we need to live and this He promises and does.

So remember your relationship to God as an adopted son with all the rights and responsibilities of an adopted son and as long as you trust His love you will be content with what He does to and for you.

Appearances are deceptive.

Satan has set up a smoke screen substituting good things for the things God wants you to do.

Church is good but Satan has setup denominations that promote their own brand of Church and by this destroy the unity of the Kingdom of God. Satan has hidden the fact that belonging to a denomination and going to church does not save you. Belonging to the Kingdom of God is what saves you.

Satan has promoted serving the denomination as the work of God. It is serving God that is important, It is not what you do for the Minister, church or denomination that is important. When you die and face Jesus you will be asked by Him what you did for Him and not for the church or denomination.

Satan has promoted the concept that special training is required to serve God so you cannot serve in the church without the necessary qualifications. God trains who He calls and does not ask you to serve Him without having been given the necessary qualifications and spiritual gifts/authority to serve in Him in the capacity He has called you to serve Him in.

God uses you as you are and not as denominations say you should be, You will be judged on what you did with what God gave you not what man says you can do with it (which is what denominations do not do because they are man made, controlled by man and enforced by man so judge according to man’s requirements as expressed in the denomination rules and attitudes).

God is your Lord and Ruler of the Kingdom you belong to, not the minister or a denomination so you need to do what He says and not man.

The purpose of minister is to serve you in what God has called you to do. He helps you do this, supports, teaches and comforts you. The moment he becomes church directed or church focused they lose their God given role promoting the denomination or church and not what God wants to do through you for His Kingdom.

Jesus must be your focus and not the minister or church. The Kingdom of God must be your focus and not the requirements of the denomination or church.

There are other smoke screens but as you walk with one ear on the Holy Spirit, led by Him you will avoid these other smoke screens as well the snares of the devil and walk in the path God has ordained for you from before the beginning of creation and be a useful member of the Kingdom of God.

Satan hides the truth

To stop the influence of God on this earth Satan has to hide the knowledge of The Kingdom of God, who Jesus is as well as the truths of The Bible. He has also to hide from people the truth about himself, his kingdom, who they are in Jesus and what he is trying to do to them.

He has promoted the Gospel of salvation and by this hidden the Gospel of The kingdom so the people may be saved but do not cause him any problems through living the full Gospel and not just spiritualising it.

He has promoted untruths about Jesus, His Divinity and Humanity so people will not accept who Jesus really.

He has used promoted himself to those seeking ‘higher’ wisdom as being good and wise and Jesus as being inferior to him and of a lower ranking in spiritual things.

The church has done little to stop these things and even helped by ignoring them so that Satan has been able to hobble the church spiritually and control society.

Revival will only begin when people rediscover the Gospel of The Kingdom and are used by God to promote The kingdom of God on earth as that alone is the church God is promoting and not the man made denominational structure that exists these days.

Stewardship and the Kingdom of God

Satan is out to kill, steal and destroy and his time is short. As he is still ruler of this world these trademarks of his are all over it. Every where is death, destruction and people who have been robbed of their quality of life. As his time is short he has stepped up his activities in these areas so that these will be worse and in the tribulation become almost unbearable. But God is a God of Love and has promised never to test us above what we can handle so there will still be a way of escape for these people in the great tribulation. Jesus will still accept them if they repent.

The earth belongs to Jesus as it is part of the spoils of war from His victory over Satan. It is an unclaimed part of His Kingdom and so we have a responsibility to plunder it as citizens of The Kingdom of God.

As stewards of the things of God and of The Kingdom we need to care for them. Satan knows this and all ecological problems are a result of Satan trying to destroy God’s spoils of war as he uses these problems to trap as many people as he can through greed and wrong attitudes to suffering and take them to hell.

Hurting animals for sport is bad stewardship. Killing for the sake of pleasure is also not being a good steward.

Farming and land clearing are good if they are done in a way not to abuse animals, people or the Land or compromise the purpose God has for them. Otherwise they are not good stewards.

People also see evil in the industrial revolution because of the attitudes that have come out of it. Satan hijacked its values so Big Business now follows his values. The challenge for a Christian in this world in which Satan guides most businesses is to show Christian values and God’s working in their business and employment. Mat 6:33 also applies to businesses as well as people, families and countries.

This stewardship means we are to do things in a way that will not hurt the ecology of the planet or people on it and which are not wasteful but are economical and beneficial.

The thing Satan tries to destroy most is our bodies and mind so we cannot do the work of God, attack Satan and is kingdom and bring Jesus dishonour by abusing what He has given us through being a bad steward of these things.

We need to examine what we do carefully and see whether we are destructive (Satan guided) or constructive (God guided).

As stewards we must be faithful to reap the rewards promised of which one is salvation.

The Christian in the Government

Every Christian is a citizen of the Kingdom of God. People at all levels of government are also representatives of authority that God has allowed to be set up to govern. Thus Christian Public Servants represent The Kingdom of God and are part of a body God has set up to enforce the rules of the government He has allowed to rule the land, administer it and serve it (Remember they serve the people in the land and not the land itself).

So they have a dual role: to represent God’s Kingdom (spiritual) and to represent His secular authority in this world physical). Both these roles are carried out simultaneously as Christians do their work. To do otherwise is to reject God’s authority in one of these two areas.

How then should a Christian who is a public official behave

They should behave as a representative of God’s Kingdom (a Christian) enforcing the requirements of a God ordained authority providing it does not clash with the values of The Kingdom of God.

This means they have all the weapons God has placed at their disposal as well as the responsibility of Living a Godly life both in and outside their daily employment.

They represent God in their life both in and out of work and will be rewarded or held accountable according to how they have performed their ministry to Him. They minister to God through obedience and as they obey Him they show He is worthy to be obeyed and this is actually a form of worshipping God by their life.

So they should look on their calling in this light and it will no longer be a daily grind but privilege of serving God and representing Him in this world.

So whoever has a responsibility to serve the public on behalf of a government agency or its parliament, remember that you are God’s representative in this and will have to give account how you served in this capacity as well as how you lived the Christian life outside this employment. But then the attitudes you have in your employment should be a natural out flowing of your attitudes as a Christian. To be anything else is hypocrisy and a hypocrite will not come before God and may lose their salvation as a result if they knowingly act like this.

The Challenge to the Christian Family

The challenge to the Christian family is to ignore the worldly lifestyle promoted by the media (controlled mostly by Satan), retain family values and live as Jesus wants them too (separate from the world and its values.
