Purpose for Living
Our
objective is Matt
6:33– to Focus on God and His purposes.
This has three aspects:
Our primary purpose is to
serve Jesus our King who tells us whom to serve as well as also how,
when,
where we are to serve Him..
We are told that ever we do to another we do to Him (Matt 25:40). So we need to remember this as we relate to others.
We are to relate in His
quality of Love (Jn
13:34-35).
This is
reflected in two
ways:
We do His work (Great
Commission and demonstrating The Kingdom of God)
We teach and encourage
others in doing His work (2Tim 2:2 Heb 10:24-25)
His
work was state by Him
as follows (which
if summarized would look like this):
“All
power
(authority) is given unto me in heaven and in
earth.
Go
ye
therefore, and teach all nations I have risen,
baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you
And
that
repentance and remission of sins should be preached in My name among
all
nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
He
that
believeth and is baptized shall be
saved; but he that believeth not shall be
damned.
And
these
signs shall follow them that believe;
In
my name
shall they cast out devils;
they
shall
speak with new tongues;
They
shall
take up serpents;
and
if
they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they
shall
lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover
and,
lo, I
am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
Are you
doing these
things?
Do you know how to do
these things?
If not, why do you not
know how to do these things?
As these are a
requirement of Jesus you had better learn how to do these things.
If you know how to do
these things and do not do them then find out why as you may be in the
processing of loosing your salvation (Rev 3:5).
