Role of The King
The king is
steward of all he has authority over
Because
He is responsible for all under his authority whatever you do to any of
it
affects Him. We are under His Authority, so whatever you do to another
you do
to Him (Mat 25:40).
It
also means that unless you obey His Authority you will not reap the
full
benefit of being His citizen and The Kingdom will not be the unity it
should. Because denominations and church
structures do not work in unison, the demonstration and unity of The
Kingdom on
earth suffers.
He sets the
policy and laws for The Kingdom
Because
He is responsible for what is under his authority He is also
responsible for
determining how it is to function. So He
makes laws to be obeyed by those under His authority so that all things
will
work as they should.
He provides for
the needs of His subjects
For
His subjects to obey Him willingly and wholeheartedly, He must meet
their needs
so that they are satisfied with what He does for them and will be
willing to
follow Him and obey His laws. The
requirement is that we obey Him so that He can supply our needs because
we are
where we should be for Him to be able to supply our needs (mat 6:33).
He enforces the
laws of the kingdom
Because
He is responsible for what happens under His authority he must enforce
the laws
He has made so that all will work as it should.
The Bible is His rule book so that He enforces it which is why
all must
obey it 100% or risk the wrath and punishment of The King.
He rewards or
punishes His subjects
As he is their
steward He has
the right to deal with them for the way they obeyed Him, either to
reward or punish
them. For a Christian this means eternal
life and rewards in heaven. For those
who reject The King and His authority it means eternal separation from
the King
as well as eternal punishment.
Relationship
to King
This must be
correct for us to
enter into the full rewards of being a citizen of The Kingdom. This is why Salvation is a relationship (Jn
17:3) and which is why Satan tries to hide this relationship and all
the King
requires of us and does for us.
