Denominations churches etc
The
early church did not have denominations, church bodies or other types
of
Christian organisations and conquered the world. We
have these and most churches are
stagnating or in decline along with the territory around them.
What
are denominations, church bodies or other types of Christian
organisations not
doing that the early church did?
Jesus
did not institute denominations, church bodies or other types of
Christian
organisations but would have given instructions for their formation if
they had
been necessary. The only conclusion that
can be drawn is that they are man instituted and so obscure or modify
the
structure Jesus set up to evangelise the world and promote The Kingdom
of God.
The
unity of the early church is missing as each denomination, church body
or other
type of Christian organisation claims its area and stake in the
Christian filed
and defends its structure against the other similar structures so it
can keep
its identity as a denomination, church body or other type of Christian
organisation.
Jesus
gave us all the instructions necessary for His Body.
Anything not in the Bible has to be the
result of man’s reasonings and probably hinders the work of God
and the unity
it needs for it to be done.
As
Jesus did not organise these entities He ignores them, unless they
interfere
with The Kingdom and does not use them.
They only suit His purposes when the people in them do the work
of The
Kingdom and not the work necessary to promote or maintain the
denomination,
church body or other type of Christian organisation.
Jesus
works through The Body (of His followers), the citizens of The Kingdom
of God
on earth, and not through manmade structures.
Denominations,
church bodies or other types of Christian organisations are legal
structures
and have no spirit for Jesus to work through.
The Body may use them but these structures are ancillary to the
work of
The Kingdom, being one of the tools for The Body to use.
Any other use of them makes them an idol and
hinders the work of The Kingdom.
In
The Body is the true unity of The Spirit through the common Holy Spirit
present
in all citizens of The Kingdom. The fact
that denominations, church bodies or other types of Christian
organisations are
not in unity immediately shows they are not the Kingdom or part of The
Body. Anyone promoting or maintaining
denominations,
church bodies or other types of Christian organisations at the expense
of unity
in The Holy Spirit is making them an idol and hindering the work of The
Kingdom
of God.
God
does not need these organisations and in the revival to come they will
not be
important but the people in them may become involved in the revivals
and The
Kingdom will then be promoted by them and not by the denomination,
church body
or other types of Christian organisation.
