Hell
is real
God
thought that going
to hell was so bad that one of the reasons He came to earth (as Jesus)
was to
help us avoid going there. The teachings
of Jesus are designed to restore us to God, show us how to live in this
relationship and help us avoid going to hell.
How
does the desire
not to go to hell affect your daily Christian walk?
Do
you definitely
know you are not going there? If not you
better make certain you know what God says to do to avoid going there.
Does
it grieve you
to think of other family members going to hell?
If so, what are you doing about it?
All you really can do is tell them about Jesus and their need of
Him
when they are willing to listen as well as to live the Christian life
as it
should be lived so that they can see the life of a Christian is
superior to
that normally lived.
We
are to be ready
to give an answer to everyman of the hope in us of avoiding hell. But we need to know what this hope is. So you must study so you know what this hope
is and be able to tell others about it.
The
hope of course,
is the salvation Jesus offers all who follow Him as their Lord. If he is not Lord of all your life you risk
losing your salvation. You do not need
to give every area individually to Jesus, just everything you are. Then you need to obey Him in all you do.
Remember
the warning
in Rev 3:5 that you can lose your salvation through unrepented
disobedience.
