Why do you sin?
You accept the suggestions of Satan for a few reasons:
You like the pleasure the sin gives you
You do not realise the suggestion is from Satan and not your own mind
You do not know how to deal with the temptation
You believe the lie he tells you that you cannot defeat the temptation.
You cannot see the way of escape God has given you
You see no purpose in trying to fight Satan (low self-esteem)
How to handle Temptation
Resisting Satan does not remove the demon so that temptations will continue
You need to cast the demon to the abyss the moment they attack
You need to find the way out God has given you If deliverance is needed because the demon is internal use the five steps If deliverance is not needed (the demon is external) cast the demon to the abyss asking The Holy Spirit to take its
place. Strategy for the mind Do not accept the thought from the demon so it does not enter your mind but cast it to the abyss immediately it attacks you Do not react or assume anything but ask The Holy Spirit what to do. This stops demons using these reactions or assumptions against you as reactions and assumptions are too easily influenced by demons unless these are
disciplined by the will
