The
Body
A
husband looks at his wife and in his eyes she is a thing of beauty.
God
looks at The Body of Christ’s followers and in His eyes it is a
thing of beauty. Created and formed by
Him. Maintained and loved by Him.
He
loves it as it is His Bride in the same way a man loves his wife
because she is totally committed to him and does all out of love for
him. In the same way, The Body loves and
serves
Jesus.
So
Jesus treats is as His Bride and loves it as a man loves his wife.
I hope
this gives you an understanding of how God loves you because you
are part of The Body of His followers.
Introduction
Everything the Body does has to be
viewed from five perspectives:
The Body
serves Jesus
and not denominations, church bodies or similar
The Body is
Holy to God,
being called out from the world (which is controlled by Satan) and must
separate itself from the attitudes and activities of the world
Whatever it
does must
be in accordance with the Will of God
Whatever it
does must
bring Glory to God
It must
interact with
others with the same quality of Love God has and express His Character
in all
it does.
A member of The Body must satisfy
these attitudes in all they do for The Body to express these attitudes.
What
is the purpose of The Body?
The Body of Christ on earth is used
by God to:
Further His Kingdom
To bring Him Glory, Honour and
Praise
To worship Him through obedience to
Him
To show God’s Love and Grace in all
they do
To demonstrate the authority of The
Kingdom of God over His enemy, Satan, and by this brings Jesus Glory
and
Honour.
The
body was set up by Jesus for the citizens to:
Tell people
they
could have a personal relationship with The Father and to show them how
to
obtain this (evangelism)
To Train
people and
help them in how to live as Jesus desires them to live (discipleship)
To destroy
Satan and
his works and by this be used too expand The Kingdom of God
The
treasure of the battle with Satan is not buildings, possessions,
power or political authority (which denominations and churches seek). It is souls.
And this is what the battle is over.
If you
concentrate primarily on anything else, then you have lost the
perspective God has on the work of The Body and the battle the body has
on
behalf of The Kingdom of God.
If
anyone who is a Christian does not have these three primary focuses
or learning how to do them. Then they
better find out why. They will be little
or no use for the purposes of God. They
may be of use for the purposes of The Denomination.
But these purposes are usually are of no use
to God unless they are Kingdom orientated.
Acts
6 Stewardship of Ministers and Deacons
They are
stewards of what God has
trusted them with:
Denominational
matters and things (Legal) – Ministers and/or deacons
People of
The Body to
mentor and assist (Spiritual) - Ministers
Any service
they have
been given (Administrative) - Deacons
Anything
personal God
has given them to be stewards of – Ministers and Deacons
The
Body is in the citizens of The KOG on earth
It is
spiritual so not in
denominations or churches
In regard
to denominations,
churches and similar:
They are
legal
entities for purposes of man
They divide
the Body
and The Kingdom and do not promote its unity
Denominations
and
churches have no spiritual capacity as they were set up by man and not
Jesus so
have no right to control The Body. Because
it has not been placed under their authority to control it.
Denominations
and
churches are not a spiritual entity and The Body is a spiritual entity
The Body is
not an
earthly legal entity, being in the spirits of its members and so cannot
be
affected by the laws of any earthly organisation
If
denominations and
churches try to spiritually control The Body they replace Jesus and
become
idols
People of
The Body
may attend denominations and churches not spiritually controlled by
these
People must
only obey
the legal requirements of the denomination or church they legally
belong too
If churches
and
Denominations do the work of Jesus it is because of the people in
them
and not the actual denomination or church itself
A church or
denomination is only as Godly as the people in it.
Where
denomination,
church or other rules and purposes are against what The Bible says. Then they are to be rejected and The Bible
followed.
The
church/denomination is a
legal entity that can be a sort of container for The Body.
It can be a sort of interface for it to interact
with the world. But only to the degree
the people in it are part of The Body and do not look to the
denomination
instead of The Kingdom for their purposes.
Fivefold
ministry and deacons (Acts 6 principle)
The
fivefold have a spiritual
role so deal in spiritual ministries
The deacons
and similar have
administrative roles so run the churches and free the fivefold to
minister
spiritually
The five
fold are
servants (gifts) to the Body too help mature and guide the members of
it and
not to control them in any way
The
fivefold are only
involved in spiritual things under the guidance of The Holy Spirit
The
fivefold does not
spiritually control people
If they
spiritually control
others as their head they displace Jesus
There may
be temporary
control for the purposes of mentoring
This
control ends
when the mentoring ends
Deacons do
the administrative
work of The Body
For the
legal purposes of
denominations there is control of people who belong to the denomination
or
church.
Satan
promotes spiritual control churches and denominations
The
purposes Satan uses these for
is too:
Hide The
Body and The
Kingdom
Divide the
Body and The
Kingdom
Divide the
denomination and church so they will not do the work of The Kingdom
Stop the
unity that
would promote The Kingdom and defeat him and his plans
Control
people
spiritually and replace Jesus as head
Make
denominational
rules greater than the rule of The Bible and bring in his agenda and
sin into
the denomination and church through promoting doctrinal error as being
the
truth
Work
of The Kingdom
The Body
must do it
The
Denomination and
church must do it otherwise it is promoting itself and not Jesus and
The
Kingdom
Work
of the Body (Christians)
What ever
The Body
does must promote unity in The Spirit and The KOG
Do the work
of Jesus
Show the
Love of God
in the activity or ministry
Preach,
teach and
demonstrate The KOG
Great
Commission
The Work
of The
Body expanded
The work of The Body is
to serve Jesus their King. He Tells them:
What they are to do for
Him
When they are to do it
for Him
How they are to do it for
Him
Where they are to do it
for Him
They serve the King and
promote:
The Will of
the King
His Kingdom
His values
(moral, spiritual)
With the same attitudes
He has which is reflected in the
quality of Love they demonstrate as they serve He and others as well as
in the
way they take care of all they are steward of on His behalf. their:
Spirit
Body
Soul
Mind
Physical things
Family and other people
Their relationships with
each member of the Trinity.
Their example is Jesus.
Who did the Will of The Father in everything, who went around
preaching,
teaching and demonstrating The authority of God over all the works of
Satan as
well as over creation, then trained others to do His work!
The early members of the
Body (Apostles and early disciples)
did the work Jesus did.
There were no
Denominations, Bible alleges, Mission boards. They
knew Jesus and His teachings and that was all that mattered:
According to Matt 6:33,
Bible Colleges, Denominations etc.
are not necessary to do the work of Jesus. As
long as you are led by The Holy Spirit (Jn
16:13), Jesus will provide all the training you need and prepare you
and the
ministry you are to do so you are able to do it. All
you need to do is to wholeheartedly walk
on the path He has prepared for you from before creation and you will
do all He
requires of you.
Bible Colleges and
similar are for the purposes of the
denomination and/or church system man has established. God does not
need them! But man does for his purposes.
Others may guide and help
you, but it is your responsability
to study to see what God desires of you and if you do wholeheartedly
attempt to
study, The Holy Spirit will help you in this.
Act 17:11 (MSG) They were treated a lot
better there than in
Thessalonica. The Jews received Paul's message with enthusiasm and met
with him
daily, examining the Scriptures to see if they supported what he said.
You must desire to study
and learn from them
Joh 7:17 (LITV) If
anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the doctrine,
whether it
is of God, or I speak from Myself.
It is your responsibility
to study and apply them to your
life
Joh 16:13 (GNB) When, however, the Spirit
comes, who reveals
the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth. He will not
speak on
his own authority, but he will speak of what he hears and will tell you
of things
to come.
You must desire to hear The Holy Spirit and learn from Him and be guided by Him. He promises to lead you into all truth and not just spiritual truth. If he did not lead you into all truth, how could you be guided in all God asks you to do.
In
Conclusion
Unless you understand the
relationship of The Body to
denominations, churches and similar. You
will not see The Kingdom of God in the way you meed to see it to be a
useful
citizemn of it for Jesus to use you as He needs to use you to do His
work here
on earth.
