Inquiry into the effectiveness of current traffic control strategies in the immediate vicinity of schools in New South Wales.
 

 

RTA Misses the Bus

The catalyst for this paper and the ongoing work that will follow, is the death of 5 1/2 year old Eric Evans on 19 December 1996, when he was hit by a 4 wheel drive car.   Eric was a school child pedestrian having just alighted from his bus on the last day of school.
