Carol
Hughes has nearly 25 years experience in Bridal and Eveningwear couture.
Having worked in the industry for this time Carol has worked in bridal
boutiques around Melbourne and as a result has a vast knowledge of
how to dress different figure shapes and the correct use of fabrics
for the
chosen design.
Carol
is trained in couture dressmaking techniques, classic tailoring,
and is an experienced pattern maker which allows the pattern for the
chosen
design to be drafted for the individual client.
Carol
has also worked in theatre - creating commissioned pieces from designer's
sketches and sometimes costuming entire shows. She also worked with
Martin's Dancewear as assistant cutter and costumier.
Apart
from hundreds of individual bridal & formal wear clients during
this time, other past clients include Telstra, the Victorian
College of the Arts, the
National
Theatre
Ballet School, Shufty's Tivoli Theatre and various other theatre companies
around Melbourne.
Carol
has also developed & created an exquisite jewellery range completely
handcrafted in her studio in Melbourne using the finest Swarovski
crystals & pearls, gemstones & freshwater pearls. She very much
enjoys creating custom jewellery pieces for brides and wedding
parties,
special
occasions,
and everyday
fashion jewellery. Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, tiaras and headpieces
can
all be created to complement the design of each gown.
