Tower Hill Cemetery

The cemetery is located on the Princess Hwy at the base of Tower Hill. Some of the families travelled little after arrival in the area and several generations can be followed.

Although remembered in the engraving, Catherine was actually buried at the Melbourne General Cemetery  according to her death certificate. Not listed on the gravestone but also buried at this site according to Tower Hill Cemetery Burial records are:
Thomas Shanley (About 1833 - 1917) and his grand-daughter
Mary (1911 - 1919 - daughter of Stephen Shanley and Bridget Farley).
