Who are we?
Founded in November 2005 by Musical Director Daniel Pamenter-Calder, The Oriana Concert Choir, under the umbrella of Oriana Arts Inc, is based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

The Oriana Concert Choir is an auditioned SATB choir of fifty members who presented their Debut Concert to a capacity audience in April 2006. Performing to audience acclaim at their concert, the choir travelled to the Heritage Queensland Gladstone Eisteddfod Easter 2006, receiving first place with their Ladies Ensemble. 

In July 2006 Oriana competed in ABC FM's 'National Choir of the Year Competition' and were delighted to place second at the Queensland finals. Their inaugural year culminated in grand style with a concert series presentation of Benjamin Britton's Ceremony of Carols.

In 2007, the choir undertook the challenging Symphony of Psalms by Stravinsky and performed a Sixties musical revue to sellout audiences. Record audiences enjoyed their end of year production of Schubert's Mass in G and Vivaldi's Gloria.

Oriana has two patrons; acclaimed composer, musician and Sunshine Coast resident, Michael Knopf and Channel 7 personality and arts enthusiast Rosanna Natoli. They are both very proud of their choir’s achievements and successes.

Oriana's members range in age from 20 to over 60 and come from all over the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas to attend our weekly rehearsals. We have amongst our members teachers, doctors, nurses, therapists, managers, administrators, writers, lawyers, business owners, students, musicians, artists, accountants, retirees, homemakers and more.

Oriana Arts Inc is committed to not only developing an outstanding choral group but presenting other innovative and quality music, theatre and arts opportunities in the future. We will always strive to conduct and present ourselves in the best way possible and our aim is to be the Sunshine Coast’s premier vocal ensemble.
