Check out Main Street Birdsville.

So what makes this a boring postcard? No fixed idea really, but I do know it is very boring. How about this one of the inspection galleries deep within the Warragamba Dam?

Boring? Yes. Nothing to see here: composition, content and the featured characters lack anything which could be conventionally described as interesting. But yet.... mmm, here's one of the German Embassy in Canberra.

Dreary modernist building, sad gumtrees but hey you've gotta love those VW's. Not really boring.
People say the irony is that these postcards are not boring, but powerful insights into a time and place of an aesthetically-challenged Australia. Can't argue with that.
Here's one of the Civic Centre in Altona, sent by Rooman, who adds that even today the Centre looks like a barn roof has been blown onto a shed.

Anonymously received, here's lovely Merewether.

If you just happen to have treasured postcards of say the Canning Factory at Leeton or the new car park in downtown Croajigalong, feel free to make contact, ideally with some background. It'll be added asap to the site.
