Possum Gully Preschool is a small Steiner-inspired Childcare Centre located in a beautiful bushland setting in Dundas in Sydney's north west. The Centre is fully registered and licenced, and is now taking enrolments for children to begin attending in in our 2-days per week or our 3-days per week program.

What is Steiner pre-school education? Steiner education is conscious not to "adultify" our children too soon, but rather to work with their natural powers of creative fantasy. There is a focus to nourish and guide more than to "teach", with a priority in nurturing their imaginative play.

A healthy balance is maintained between structured group activities and free play. The environment includes a minimum of formed toys, but rather, the children are encouraged to make or build their own boats, animals, gnomes, farms and cubbies from a selection of natural materials, colourful soft cloths and simple pieces of furniture. The children are provided with a nurturing environment with space to play creatively. Using home-based activities, stories, songs and games, the group leader guides the children through the rhythm of the day and the seasons.

Give your child the opportunity to experience storytelling, baking, singing, watercolour painting, beeswax modelling and creative play. All set in an amazing Australian bush land environment. All activities are designed to awaken your child’s imagination whilst interacting with other children.
