Customizing
Home

This section is devoted to the modifications and personal customizing of the Spacesailer 24.

We welcome your pictures of such changes with a view to sharing among the SS 24 "crew" ideas which others may wish to copy. For example Ross of Brisbane developed some very neat window covers... buttoned on the outside they both reduce heat and afford privacy without the need for interior curtains. His vessel also features a fulltime fridge (replacing the stairs) powered by 2 solar panels over the cockpit which simultaneously provide welcome shade from the tropical sun.... very cool,Ross! He also had a spray dodger made after moving the traveller fwd slightly and the winches slightly aft... very comfortable!

John Kennedy, who started this website, put a charming ensuite into his Céilidh, opposite the toilet. nice one John, and the ladies would be impressed! SS24 Conbrio's galley steady bar in front of stove and fold down food prep table forward of stove bulkhead... a galley wench's dream come true!

My own boat is Gallivant bought in Melbourne and trucked to a new home on Moreton Bay; note the cabin top twin 30W solars, larger vents for hot weather, conveniently pocketed rope bags, exterior sun screens and interior window timber trims, bolt on BBQ and tiller stay using autohelm mounting socket.
