MILLS LOAD-IT DATACASSETTE & After market Add on PCB. Updated: 8-3-2018 |
|
There are several different versions of the Commodore Datasette Electronics, and this makes it a little harder to Install the MILLS LOAD-IT. As each unit will have a Different points to solder to. As a General rule, BLACK always connects to GROUND, RED always connects to 5Volts, and BLUE connects to the OUTPUT Pin of the OP-AMP IC. If you open up your 1530 Datasette and find the OP-AMP IC number. You can then download the DATA SHEET for that IC number. That will clearly tell you which pins are GROUND, 5 Volts & OUTPUT. |

When it is first turned on, All 10 x LED's will light up solid RED. Then all will turn off except the First Two LED's.
After you type LOAD, press RETURN on C64 & then press PLAY on the Datasette, The LED's will go from 2 showing Solid RED to 3 - 10 LED's on solid with the Last LED Flashing. This is when you use a PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER to Adjust the Azimuth Alignment of the HEAD. |
